The challenge
At bottling plants, gas cylinder control is still performed manually. Workers must observe each cylinder passing through the conveyor belt and, based on images, enter the expiration date and tare weight number.
This process, in addition to being slow, is susceptible to errors and human error.
The lack of accurate information also generates waste: because they lack the correct tare weight values, plants fill all cylinders with the standard 13 kg of gas, even when there are still traces of product inside, or have operators read them manually.
