The challenge
Energy companies and public lighting providers face significant challenges in maintaining an up-to-date and reliable inventory of their assets in the field. The traditional method relies on teams roaming streets with clipboards, spreadsheets, or manual registration apps, which is costly, time-consuming, prone to human error, and difficult to scale.
This lack of accuracy directly impacts planning, maintenance, billing, and even customer service.
The solution
SmartAssets is Fu2re’s solution for automated inventory of public lighting assets.
Using computer vision, onboard cameras, and integrated GNSS, the platform maps poles, lamps, and transformers with high accuracy and reliability, up to 100 times faster than traditional methods.
In addition to automatically identifying and classifying assets in the field, the system generates structured, auditable data that can be integrated with GIS and is ready to be used for efficient network planning, maintenance, and management.
Some results achieved
Light (RJ)
Mapping of the entire Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Region, with over 500,000 lighting points accurately identified and validated by the city government. In the second phase, the project is being expanded to the distributor's entire concession area in the state of Rio de Janeiro, totaling up to 1 million points.
EDP (Portugal)
After a successful proof of concept, we are delivering 1,300 km of mapping in the city of Ourém and adjacent regions of Portugal.
